“Aside from their four language departments, they have a completely separate Spanish department,” Roxana says of what attracted her to WMU.
Roxana plans to teach high-school Spanish but is considering adding English as a second major, in case she wants to teach English in a Spanish-speaking country. She’s loving her first year at college but can’t wait to study abroad in Mexico as a sophomore.
Being fluently bilingual will come as a huge advantage to Roxana during her improv shows. Yes, Western has an improv group—and the tryouts are intense—but the product is impressive. Roxana is one of the few freshman who was accepted.
Roxana’s advice to potential students “Even if you come in undecided, I know there are a ton of programs for sampling what Western has. It’s not a big deal if you’re not sure, because Western has it all.”
