Stephanie considered a lot of schools and visited a couple campuses, but Western was the only place she applied. It felt like the best fit, and she saw no reason to give any other school a chance.
While she readily admits the job market for teachers isn't the best, she also knows she wouldn't be happy doing anything else. Thus, she's majoring in secondary education with a specialty in history while also adding a minor in Spanish.
Stephanie credits her high-school teachers with inspiring her fascination with history, particularly the World War II era.
When not discussing the finer points of history, Stephanie finds time to ski with the WMU alpine-skiing team.
