The Agency Section provides a wealth of information for current and potential field instructors. The documents found here are required by all agencies and will be used by the Office of Field Education to maintain our databases. The evaluation of student performance, which is completed each semester by all field instructors, is in the Agency Section along with information regarding safety-training expectations.

Safety Checklist (Required!)
Lab content on safety issues in the field placement will include a discussion of safety issues that impact social workers. Information presented in the lab is meant to increase students' awareness of safety issues. Specific safety skills, e.g., restraining techniques, self-defense skills, will not be taught due to liability and requirements for on-going certification. Students will be expected to inform their faculty liaison immediately concerning any issues they have regarding safety within their field placement setting. Students are required to complete the required Safety Checklist with their field instructor and turn it in by the agreed upon due date. Students are encouraged to seek additional safety training through their field placements, seminars, and the like.
