TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience, focused on sharing ideas worth spreading.
At our TEDxGrandRapids event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group of people engaged in our community.
The event will be Livestreamed at WMU-Southwest in Benton Harbor.
Livestreaming allows portions of the Grand Rapids event to be viewed remotely, while WMU-Southwest offers a unique program to compliment the Grand Rapids stream. Community sponsors and presenters come together to make the event valuable for all Livestream attendees.
This year’s event theme is Constant/Change.
As a society, we often think of innovation through change: the next big thing, the discovery, the breakthrough. But what if, instead of chasing after change, we focused on the things that remain constant beneath it all? Could there be just as much to learn from things that stay the same?
