Nonprofit Leadership and Administration Program Requirements
Requirements for students admitted prior to Summer 2008
The purpose of the Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Administration is to enhance the capacity of students to effectively administer nonprofit organizations. The program is designed to meet the professional education needs of individuals who currently are, or aspire to, leadership roles in nonprofit organizations.
The NLA Graduate Certificate is a multi-disciplinary program that is comprised of courses from five university departments. A total of 18 credit hours are needed to complete the NLA Graduate Certificate. The courses are organized into four modules of study. Each student must complete: 1) the three core module courses, 2) one of the capstone courses, and 3) at least two hours, but not more than four hours, in the administration, external relations, and finance modules for a total of eight hours.
