Apply for Admission

Graduate applicants may apply for admission at any time.

1. Apply to the Graduate College
2. Submit one set of official transcripts to the Office of Admissions
3. Submit your teaching certificate/endorsement(s), resume, and letter outlining your experiences and goals, department application and two reference forms to the Department of Special Education and Literacy Studies.

Applications are evaluated on:

• Undergraduate GPA
• Special education experience
• Congruence of goals and requested program option
• Writing skills
• Graduate College Reference Form

Graduate Teaching Assistant Opportunities
The Department of Special Education and Literacy Studies typically hires 3-4 teaching assistants to assist faculty with teaching during the fall and spring semesters.  Graduate students wishing to be considered for one of these positions should send a letter of interest and a resume to the chair.
