
In the of Fall 2008, Freshens Smoothies began being served in biodegradable cups. Biodegradable parfait cups are used with portioned parfait desserts, and campus cafes are moving to biodegradable packaging for cut fruit.
Dining Services purchases plastic containers with lids that can be washed and reused versus boxes and plastic wrap for transport and storage. They also use stainless steel pans rather than aluminum foil disposable pans when feasible.
