RecycleMania Tournament
Jan. 17–March 27, 2010
Western Michigan University is participating in the RecycleMania competition for the 8th year. A record number of colleges and universities across the United States, Canada and as far away as Qatar, will participate. WMU will compete in the following catagories:
Results will be posted online beginning on Friday, Jan. 29.
Get Involved!!!
- Throw everything in the recycle bins.
- Tell others about the competition.
- Think about what you are using Ecomug vs. Sytrofoam cup.
- Reduce! Reuse! Recycle!
- Volunteer to be an Eco Rep in your residence halls.
- Wanted! Creative videos/pictures showing your participation/support in Western's RecycleMania.
- Check WMU Recycles website for the proper methods of recycling.
- Ask classmates and professors about his/her participation in Recyclemania (ask your professor to take time for a class discussion).
- Become a fan of RecyleMania on Facebook.
- Take notice of the Recycling Bins in your area!
Residence Hall Intracampus Competition
WMU Residence Halls will be competiting to see who can recycle the most. So get involved and tell your fellow residents. The winning hall will receive a Plainwell Ice Cream social! Winner will be announced in April. Weekly prizes of aluminum water bottles and drawstring backpacks available to participants of the Weekly Round-up.
