Advice for Freshman

If I had to give advice for incoming freshmen or anyone in general, it would be to be the person who you've always wanted to be. No one knows who you were or where you've been, but they will know you for who you are now.

About Anthony

Hi, my name is Anthony and I'm a junior at WMU! I study Comparative Religion as well as Psychology. I came from a town called Holland, Michigan and graduated in '08 from West Ottawa High School.

When it came down to choosing a college, I took a few things into account. First, what the campus itself was like. Second, what is the school known for? And finally, who would give me the most money. After coming on a campus tour I fell in love with Western. It was big enough to feel completely different from where I came from, but at the same time small enough to feel comfortable. Next I found out that Western is renowned for its Behavioral Psychology program. And Finally WMU just so happened to help me out the most making my college choice very easy.

As of right now, life on campus is great. I lived in the residence halls for two years, but now I'm off campus. Even being off campus there are so many reasons to come to campus outside of class. There are so many cool organizations holding events all the time. On top of that Miller Auditorium always has something going on that is always worth checking out.
