My computer needs help. What now?
- Before you bring your computer in, we strongly recommend that you back up your files (if possible). Appropriate precautions are always taken, but the possibility exists that some data could be inadvertently lost during the course of some repairs. Please protect your personal files!
- We serve the whole campus, so to be fair, we work on a first-come, first-served basis. Typical repairs and installations can take anywhere from one to seven business days depending upon the number and type of requests in the queue. You can call us at (269) 387-5460 to see how busy we are, but the best estimate will be made when you bring your computer in. We do offer priority repair prices that will move your repair to the front of the queue.
- Bring in your laptop and its power adaptor, or desktop CPU and all appropriate software (operating system software and/or application software) during normal hours. All software must be legal copies that are licensed directly to you.
- We'll let you know what we're planning to do and you'll sign a service request. Read it carefully! We will contact you for authorization on any repairs exceeding the intial esitmate.
- We'll give you a call and send you an email when your computer is fixed. Payment is due at the time of pick up. Payments may be made with cash, check, credit card (Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted) or fund and cost center.
