Observing our work
CTAC welcomes those interested in learning more about our clinical services to observe our work in action. Observations take place during clinical assessment services on Fridays. Observers should plan to spend the entire day (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at CTAC to experience the entire assessment process. Observation numbers are limited.
To help maintain the privacy of our clients and integrity of the CTAC assessment process, all observation requests will be reviewed, and approval will be at the discretion of the CTAC supervisory staff.
Although student observation requests from other institutions are welcome, preference will be given to WMU students, and for disciplines in the areas utilized in CTAC’s interdisciplinary assessment (occupational therapy, social work, psychology, medical, and speech and language).
Organizations wishing to observe will be limited to 5 participants, and the organizations should provide services to youth who have experienced trauma (state and local agencies, assessment centers, etc.).
For more information about what to expect when observing at CTAC, please review the document below.
