We are generally open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or by appointment in the evening.

These meetings are available by appointment and can be scheduled by calling our office for available dates and times. In cases where in-person meetings cannot be arranged, a telephone conference is usually a possibility.

The computer lab in the University Center is open for use from:

Monday - Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Course cancellations due to inclement weather while rare have happened on occasion. If Northwestern Community College closes due to inclement weather, we also must close our regional site for the day. For weekday classes, the closure notice will be posted on our web site at http://www.wmich.edu/traversecity/ and a message will be placed on our voicemail system. We also send an email notice to all WMU Traverse City students through their WMU e-mail address, and will call students to inform them when necessary. For weekend courses, a notice will be placed on the voicemail system 2 hours prior to the start of the class. Obviously, students should use their best judgment about whether conditions are safe for them to travel, regardless of the official campus decision. The most accurate way to determine if your class has been canceled due to the weather is to call the Travere City office at
231-995-1846.

Your instructor will usually provide you with a means of contacting him or her, either by telephone or voicemail. If you do not have access to that information or cannot reach him or her, you may leave a message for the instructor in our office, and we will deliver that message at the earliest opportunity.
