KALAMAZOO -- The Office of Professional Programs and Conferences at Western Michigan University will offer special noncredit courses to help persons prepare for two graduate school entrance examinations, the Graduate Management Admissions Test and the Graduate Record Examination.
Both preparation courses will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. over four Saturdays. The GMAT course is scheduled for Sept. 20, Sept. 27, Oct. 4 and Oct. 11. The GRE course is scheduled for Oct. 4, 11, 18 and 25.
The actual GMAT and GRE tests will be conducted at WMU later this fall. The preparation courses are designed to cover a variety of topics that will be on the tests, such as verbal ability, mathematics, problem solving and critical reasoning. They will encompass a variety of exercises, quizzes, drills and preview tests.
The two preparation courses may be taken on WMU's campus in Kalamazoo or at the University's Grand Rapids Regional Center or Lansing Regional Center. Both courses cost $299 per person and include materials and a sample examination disk.
