Poet Marianne Boruch to give reading at WMU

KALAMAZOO -- Poet Marianne Boruch will read from her work at Western Michigan University Tuesday, Oct. 27.

The reading, scheduled for at 8:30 p.m. in Room 3512 of Knauss Hall, is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Department of English.

The author of four volumes of poetry, "A Stick that Breaks and Breaks," "View from the Gazebo," "Descendant" and "Moss Burning," Boruch teaches creative writing at Purdue University. Her work has appeared in numerous publications including the Iowa Review, Georgia Review, American Poetry Review and Shenanadoah. Her poem "camouflage" appeared in "Best American Poetry, 1997."
