WMU students' one-act play staged in Paw Paw

KALAMAZOO -- One-act plays written by four Western Michigan University students will be performed on stage by the Paw Paw Village Players for two weekends in February.

The plays will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 19 and 20, and Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26 and 27, at the Paw Paw Village Players theatre, 404 E. Michigan Ave., Paw Paw.

The writers and the names of their plays are: Bonnie Jo Campbell, "Shooting Sparrows;" Tim Chapman, "The Book, the Bench and the Trash Can;" Suprotik Ghosh, "City Living;" and Megan Weeks, "Fighting for Mr. Kush."

The plays are directed by Andy Boulter, Hilary Harper, Scott Overton and Mickey Sykes. Overton is also a WMU student.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 with any student identification and can be reserved by calling the Paw Paw Village Players at (616) 657-7529.
