University Theatre offers student, faculty, staff discounts

May 12, 1999

KALAMAZOO -- The University Theatre will offer special discounts for WMU faculty, staff, and students for season tickets to the 1999-2000 season.

Through June 1, faculty and staff can purchase tickets for all nine University Theatre productions for just $47, a 50 percent savings compared to standard ticket prices. WMU students may purchase tickets to all nine productions for just $25, a savings of $68. The nine tickets are good for all of the nine productions and may be used in any combination -- one admission to each of the season's productions, or nine admissions to one production.

In an effort to make its productions more accessible to the campus community, the University Theatre offers a variety of payment options to faculty, staff and students. In addition to payment by major credit cards and personal checks, WMU faculty and staff may purchase season tickets through payroll deduction, and students may purchase season tickets by charging their student account.

The University Theatre 1999-2000 season includes two witty comedies, "The Imaginary Invalid" and "Hay Fever," three exciting musicals, "Quilters," "Children of Eden" and "Archy & Mehitabel," the second installment of "'Tis The Season: A Holiday Revue," two intense dramas, "Antigone" and "Native Son," and "Wolf Child," a new play for youth.
