COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Western Michigan University's hockey Broncos (1-1-1 overall, 1-1-1 CCHA) earned their first win of the season with a 4-2 victory over Ohio State (2-2) on Friday (Oct. 15) at the Value City Arena in Columbus.
Four Broncos contributed goals in the victory: Steve Rymsha, Brett Mills, Mike Bishai and David Gove. For Bishai, a sophomore center from Edmonton, Alta., it was his first career goal as a Bronco.
Sophomore goaltender Jeff Reynaert made 24 saves for the Broncos, who outshot Ohio State, 29-26, for the match.
Western Michigan plays at Ohio State again on Saturday night (Oct. 16), then returns home for two matches with Bowling Green on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 22-23, at Lawson Ice Arena. Both matches begin at 7:05 p.m.
