Business scholarships awardedJuly 7, 2000 KALAMAZOO -- Six students were recently awarded scholarships by the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University. Awarded for the 2000-01 academic year, the scholarships are supported by the college's annual golf outing. Scholarship recipients and the amounts of their awards are listed below. Timothy A. Knight of 42147 Creekside Drive, Clinton Township, Mich., received a $500 scholarship. A senior majoring in computer information systems, he is the son of Deborah Bodin. Molly Millerwise of 2700 Mosher Road, Pinconning, Mich., received a $500 scholarship. A senior majoring in management, she is the daughter of John and Sharon Millerwise. Patrick Murtha Jr. of 7282 East Ronrick, Frankenmuth, Mich., received a $500 scholarship. A junior majoring in accountancy and a member of the Lee Honors College, he is the son of Patrick and Kathleen Murtha. Megan Peet of 8063 Talaria Terrace, Kalamazoo, received a $500 scholarship. A junior majoring in advertising and promotion, she is the daughter of Kevan and Barbara Diane Peet. Amanda Putnam of 705 South Swegles, St. Johns, Mich., received a $500 scholarship. A senior majoring in finance and Spanish and a member of the Lee Honors College, she is the daughter of R. Lee and Karen C. Putnam. Amy Sapp of 11394 North Crestline, Romeo, Mich., received a $1,000 scholarship.
