An introduction to WMU spirit and tradition

KALAMAZOO -- New WMU students will have a chance to learn how to be better Broncos during a special event just for them Sunday, Aug. 27. The 14th annual "Gold Rush: An Introduction to Spirit and Tradition" is scheduled for 5 p.m. in University Arena in Read Fieldhouse.
Many of this year's projected record incoming freshman class of more than 4,000 students are expected to turn out for this spirit-raising rally that will showcase Bronco athletics. The event will feature presentations by various coaches and appearances by Buster Bronco and the Bronco Marching Band, Cheer Team and Dance Team. After the rally, participants will be treated to pizza and beverages and have the chance to mingle with coaches and student-athletes.
