Bronco Season Ticket Jamboree is Thursday

KALAMAZOO -- With the WMU football team playing to capacity crowds in 1999, Bronco fans are encouraged to purchase single-game and season tickets in advance at the Bronco Season Ticket Jamboree, scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Waldo Stadium.

New season ticket holders can choose their seats for the upcoming season. Ticket plans for the entire season start as low as $65. In addtion, single-game football tickets will be on sale for all home games: Indiana State (Sept. 16), Toledo (Sept. 23), Ohio (Sept. 30), Northern Illinois (Oct. 21) and Eastern Michigan (Nov. 18).

The Bronco Ticket Office will also be selling season ticket packages for WMU volleyball, hockey and men's and women's basketball. Persons purchasing season tickets will receive a free Bronco mug. Complimentary hot dogs and Coke Cola products provided by McDonald's will be available to everyone in attendance while supplies last. Fans can also register for door prizes sponsored by the WMU Bookstore.

As a special treat for kids, Bronco athletes and head coaches from several sports will be on hand for the first-ever Bronco Olympics. Children of all ages are encouraged to catch a pass from a Bronco quarterback, hit balls with a WMU spiker, take shots at a hockey goaltender and soccer goalkeeper, shoots baskets and run sprints with the WMU track teams. Children who complete all the Olympic stations will be presented a certificate of achievement from Buster Bronco.

The event also features an autograph session with the Bronco football team, and a chance for kids to have their picture taken in a Bronco uniform and helmet free of charge.

Now in its third year, the Bronco Season Ticket Jamboree serves as a cataylst for the Bronco Football season ticket drive, which is on a record-setting pace of 4,500. Tickets for all events can be purchased through the Bronco Athletic Ticket Office (1-888-4-WMU-TIX) or online at www.wmubroncos.com.
