
Miller ticket jamboree has entertainment for everyone

KALAMAZOO -- Miller Auditorium's 3rd annual ticket jamboree
is the first opportunity to purchase single event tickets for
the 2000-01 season. It also offers entertainment for every member
of the family.
The Miller ticket jamboree runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday,
Aug. 12, in the plaza outside the main entrance to Miller Auditorium
on the Kalamazoo campus of Western Michigan University. The annual
event features live entertainment, free food, and special activities
for children.
Entertainment includes performances by the Kalamazoo Mass
Choir, a gospel group; Shallow Insight, an improvisational comedy
troupe; Loaded Dice Blues Band; and the New Season Players, Miller's
own musical review. Food will be provided compliments of Domino's
Pizza, Klein's Bagel and Deli Factory, Renzema's Bakery and TCBY
Yogurt.
Special activities for children include rain-stick making,
cookie decorating and face painting.
The event is also sponsored by WWMT TV-3 and by Cumulus Broadcasting.
Radio personalities from station WRKR 107.7 FM will be at the
jamboree with live broadcasts from the event.
