
Lansing conference on doing business with NASA

KALAMAZOO -- Michigan companies interested in doing business
with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration can learn
more at an upcoming seminar co-sponsored by Western Michigan
University's Southwest Michigan Technical Assistance Center.
"Doing Business with NASA" will take place from
10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the Holiday Inn South Conference
Center in Lansing. Glen Wright of NASA's Small Business Office
will talk about the products and services his agency procures,
explain NASA's e-commerce initiatives and discuss how contractors
can be paid electronically.
The event is co-sponsored by WMU's Southwest Michigan Technical
Assistance Center, the Technical Assistance Center of South Central
Michigan and the West Central Michigan Employment and Training
Consortium.
Seating is limited for the workshop, which costs $25 to attend.

Under the umbrella of WMU's Haworth College of Business and
its Office of Business Development Services, the Southwest Michigan
Technical Assistance Center offers free assistance to companies
interested in doing business with the government. Annually, center
director Michael Black and his staff help Southwest Michigan
businesses secure more than $20 million in government contracts.
