
Rick Holland Quartet and guests perform Oct. 19

KALAMAZOO -- Western Michigan University jazz faculty member
Rick Holland has invited some friends and colleagues to perform
with him on Thursday, Oct. 19. Some of these acquaintances comprise
the Rick Holland Quartet: pianist Terry Lauer, bassist Ed Fedewa,
and drummer Larry Ochiltree.
The recital begins at 8 p.m., Oct. 19, in the Dalton Center
Recital Hall. General admission tickets will be available at
the door for $10. Students and senior citizens will be charged
$5.
On the program's first half, the group will perform the music
of Gerry Mulligan and Chet Baker with WMU saxophonist Trent Kynaston.
The second half will feature the quartet with singer Sunny Wilkinson,
another School of Music faculty member. This ensemble will present
material prepared for a Sept. 30 performance at the Kalamazoo
Institute of Arts for Fontana's new Jazz Concert Series.
