Hockey Broncos defeat Lakers 5-2

KALAMAZOO -- Western Michigan University's hockey team remained
undefeated in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association with
a 5-2 victory over Lake Superior State on Friday night (Oct.
27). The match was the conference home opener for WMU and was
played before 2,263 Lawson Ice Arena fans.
With the victory, WMU improved to 3-1-1 overall, 2-0-1 in
the CCHA and 2-1-0 on their home ice, including non-league play.
David Gove scored two goals for Western Michigan. Steve Rymsha
had one goal and two assists. Goalie Jeff Reynaert had 34 saves
in the contest, as the Broncos were outshot 36-26.
Western Michigan hosts Lake Superior State again on Saturday
night, Oct. 28. Faceoff in Lawson Arena is 7:05 p.m.
