Campus United Way effort surpasses goalJan. 9, 2001 KALAMAZOO -- The annual WMU United Way campaign came to a close with a total of more than $208,000 raised. According to Dawn J. VanderPloeg, campus United Way coordinator, faculty and staff pushed the total well past this year's $205,000 goal. The final tally was $208,160. The WMU campaign was part of the $8.5 million goal of the Greater Kalamazoo United Way drive. VanderPloeg and co-coordinator Charlie DeVries extended thanks to all the departmental fund-raisers who made the campaign a success.
