
Annual art student exhibition opens March 8

KALAMAZOO -- The Department of Art presents the WMU Annual
Art Student Exhibition beginning March 8 with the graduate candidate
exhibition and continuing through April 3.
Graduate program candidates will exhibit in the Knauss Hall
Space Gallery, March 8-16. The exhibit is open Monday through
Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The undergraduate student exhibit will open on March 12 and
run through April 3 in the Dalton Center Multi-Media Room. The
exhibit will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to
4 p.m.
An awards ceremony is for the exhibitions will be held March
12, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Dalton Center Recital Hall. It will
be followed by receptions from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Multi-Media
Room and at Space Gallery.
There is also an exhibit of art by students enrolled in Art
Foundations classes in the Sangren Hall showcases from Feb. 26
through March 16.
The public is invited to attend the awards ceremony, receptions
and exhibitions.
This year's show has been scheduled differently from past
exhibitions due to the need to use it in conjunction with a review
by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. For
