KFS presents 'State and Main' April 13-15

KALAMAZOO -- Kalamazoo Film Society screens six showings of
"State and Main" at the WMU Little Theatre, Friday
through Sunday, April 13-15.
Shows are 7 and 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday (April 13-14)
and 2:30 and 5 p.m. Sunday (April 15). General admission is $5.
Student admission with valid ID is $3. The Little Theatre is
located at the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver Street on the
WMU East Campus. Free parking is available behind the theatre.
Written and directed by David Mamet, the 2000 release "State
and Main" stars Alec Baldwin, Sarah Jessica Parker, Charles
Durning, Patti LuPone, William H. Macy and Rebecca Pidgeon. "State
and Main" is a movie about a movie being filmed in a small
Vermont town and the interaction between the locals and their
Hollywood visitors.
Film critic Ernest Hardy says, "Writer/Director David
Mamet, who's built a career in both theater and film by being
a hyper-manly sort of writer, has crafted a film that is laugh
out loud funny and dinner-conversation smart."
