Aug. 8, 2001
KALAMAZOO -- Tips on how businesses can nab the right employees
will be offered by a veteran human resources professional at
a Western Michigan University presentation Monday, Aug. 13, in
Battle Creek.
Bill Hofrichter of EmploymentGroup will present "How
to Hire the Right Employees" from 6 to 8 p.m. at WMU's Kendall
Center, 50 West Jackson. Part of a monthly series co-sponsored
by the University's Women's Business Development Center and the
Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce, the program is free and
open to the public.
In his talk, Hofrichter will discuss where to look for employees;
the importance of a thorough job description; understanding the
hiring organization's strengths, or selling points; what kinds
of questions to ask in an interview; and closing the deal.
Hofrichter has been executive vice president for human resources
at EmploymentGroup for three years. He has 25 years of experience
in human resources, eight of them at the vice-presidential level.
A graduate of Indiana State University, he also has earned Senior
Professional Human Resource certification.
WMU's Haworth College of Business established the Women's
Business Development Center in 1999 to offer support to female
professionals and entrepreneurs through training, problem-solving
consultation, current business information and networking opportunities.
Reservations are required. For more information or to reserve
