Aug. 24, 2001
KALAMAZOO -- Tips on how businesses can nab the right employees
will be offered by a veteran human resources professional at
a Western Michigan University presentation Thursday, Sept. 6.
Bill Hofrichter of EmploymentGroup will present "How
to Hire the Right Employees" from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the
Federal Room of the Kalamazoo County Chamber of Commerce building,
346 W. Michigan Ave. The program, part of a monthly series of
workshops offered by WMU's Women's Business Development Center,
is free and open to the public.
In his talk, Hofrichter will discuss where to look for employees;
the importance of a thorough job description; understanding your
organization's strengths, or selling points; what kinds of questions
to ask in an interview; and closing the deal.
Hofrichter has been executive vice president for human resources
at EmploymentGroup for three years. He has 25 years of experience
in human resources, eight of them at the vice-presidential level.
A graduate of Indiana State University, he has earned his Senior
Professional Human Resource certification.
WMU's Haworth College of Business established the Women's
Business Development Center in 1999 to offer support to female
professionals and entrepreneurs through training, group and individual
problem-solving consultation, current business information and
networking opportunities.
