Football at Michigan set for noon Sept. 22

Sept. 17, 2001

KALAMAZOO -- Western Michigan University's athletic department issued several announcements today (Sept. 17) regarding Bronco football.

The WMU versus University of Michigan contest in Ann Arbor, rescheduled to this Saturday, Sept. 22, will begin at 12:10 p.m. It will be televised on ESPN+ (regional contest) and in West Michigan on WXMI Fox 17. The game will also be carried on the Bronco Radio Network.

All tickets purchased for that game, previously scheduled for Sept. 15, will be honored at Michigan Stadium on the new date. Fans wishing to return Michigan game tickets for a refund must do so in person at the WMU Athletic Ticket Office, located at Waldo Stadium, by 6 p.m. this Thursday (Sept. 20).

The Western Michigan versus Ball State game, originally scheduled for Sept. 22 in Kalamazoo, will most likely move to Nov. 24. A game time has yet to be determined. Southwest Fest activities
planned for the Sept. 22 home game will now be held in conjunction with Education Day and Family Fest for the Akron game on Oct. 6.

Season ticket and individual game ticket holders can use their Ball State game tickets to gain
admission on Nov. 24.

Southwest Fest participants should contact their corporate tent host to exchange tickets for the new date, Oct. 6. Questions concerning Southwest Fest can also be directed to Irene Bracken and Kim Thebo in the WMU Corporate Relations Office at (616) 387-3062 and (616) 387-2057.
