KALAMAZOO -- Scott K. Crary of Imlay City, Mich., and Alison S. Pipis of Newport, Mich., were crowned the 2001 Homecoming King and Queen for Western Michigan University during the homecoming halftime show Oct. 13.
Both Crary and Pipis were nominated by the Western Student Association and joined 43 other nominees in an interview process conducted by the University's Homecoming Committee to narrow the field of candidates. WMU students made the final decision through a popular vote held on campus.
Crary is a senior majoring in public relations, and Pipis, also a senior, is pursuing a double major in advertising and promotion and public relations.
