Irene V. Storoshenko, emerita in Russian, died in Dec. 23, 2001, in Kalamazoo. She was 83.
Storoshenko was a faculty member from 1964 until her retirement in 1983. Prior to coming to WMU, she taught at South Dakota State University. She also taught at the University of Michigan during the summers of 1964 through 1966.
Storoshenko earned a diploma from Kiev State University in Russia and a master's degree from Indiana University. She was a member of the American Association of Slavic Studies and that organization's Michigan chapter.
