2002 Air Race Classic 'flight log'
by Michelle Homister
June 23, 2002
CHESAPEAKE, Va. -- We wrapped up our Air Race adventure tonight
with the awards banquet. Several people from the College of Aviation
-- Steve Tkachuk, Robert Aardema, Amanda Gruden and Joelle Warner
-- came to Virginia to help us celebrate.
We finished 27th out of the 37 teams that completed the race.
We were pleased to move up in the standings compared with our
finish in 2001.
We are heading out tomorrow (June 24) morning around 9 and
should be home about noon. Thanks for all the support that you
have given to us. We really appreciate it, and it kept us going.
Thank you very much,
Michelle and Michelle
