Trustees to consider faculty contract, 2002-03 budget

KALAMAZOO -- Consideration of a new faculty contract and approval of a general fund operating budget for the 2002-03 fiscal year are among items on the agenda for Western Michigan University trustees to consider during their Friday, Sept. 20, meeting.
Gathering at 2 p.m. in the Connable Board Room of the Bernhard Center, trustees also will consider recommendations to award an honorary degree, approve several administrative appointments, implement two new degree programs and approve revisions to the University's Research Misconduct Policy.
The board also will hear reports on gifts and grants received by the University during the months of May, June, July and August.
The meeting of the full board of trustees will be preceded by meetings of the board's two standing committees in Room 204 of the Bernhard Center. The Budget and Finance Committee meeting is slated for 12:30 p.m. while the Academic and Student Affairs Committee will meet at 1 p.m.
