Symphony Orchestra offers free 'New World' concert

KALAMAZOO -- The Western Michigan University Symphony Orchestra offers a free concert Sunday, Oct. 13, beginning at 3 p.m. in Miller Auditorium.
The concert, "The New World," features celebrated American orchestral favorites and begins with "The Overture to Candide" by Leonard Bernstein, followed by "Suite from Billy the Kid" by Aaron Copland. Concluding the program will be Antonin Dvorak's "New World" Symphony No. 9 in E minor.
