Stampede tailgate offers students great deals, great fun
Oct. 8, 2002
KALAMAZOO -- Bronco Stampede, a new student tailgate that
also is open to the general public, begins at 12:30 p.m. Saturday,
Oct. 12, and ends just before the 3:30 p.m. kick off for Bronco
football versus Central Florida.
Bronco Stampede tailgates take place outside the Student Recreation
Center prior to each home football game in 2002 and feature food,
music and entertainment. The location for the Oct. 12 Stampede
has been moved to the plaza at the West Michigan Avenue entrance
to the center.
Admission is free, but meal tickets are $5 per person. Students
on the WMU meal plan eat for free. For the homecoming football
contest, students can reserve a tent, which includes 10 meal
tickets, for only $30. Call 387-3759 to reserve a tent. Stampede
grill menu options include hamburgers, hot dogs, garden burgers,
chips, veggies, cookies and a choice of beverages.
Music will be provided by a D.J. from Sound Trax, the WXSP
Extreme Team will be on hand and those attending will receive
free Krispy Kreme Doughnuts just for stopping by.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the Bronco Stampede
