Fair presents students with campus leadership opportunities
Jan. 9, 2003
KALAMAZOO -- Students looking to get involved with the University
as campus leaders will have a chance to do some one-stop shopping
by attending Western Michigan University's second annual Leadership
Fair from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, in Rooms 208 and 209
of the Bernhard Center.
Called "Focusing on your Future," the event will
allow students to connect with numerous University departments,
offices and volunteer organizations. Students will be able to
use these connections to learn about the wide variety of leadership
development positions available across campus.
The Leadership Fair, which is free and open to all WMU students,
is being sponsored by Student Activities and Leadership Programs.
Refreshments will be served. About 75 students attended last
year's fair.
The 2003 event will feature recruiters for a wide variety
of campus leadership positions, including Bronco ambassadors,
orientation student leaders, sexual health peer educators and
Students Socializing Sober mentors.
In addition, a representative from the Office of Alumni Relations
will be on hand to provide information about leadership opportunities
available through WMU after graduation.
