Litynski delivers State of the University address Thursday

KALAMAZOO -- Western Michigan University Interim President Daniel M. Litynski will deliver a "State of the University" address Thursday, Feb. 6, as part of WMU's annual Academic Convocation.

The University's Faculty Senate will act as host to the event, which is set for 5 p.m. in the Fetzer Center's Kirsch Auditorium. The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs coordinates the convocation, which is open to the public.

During the event, WMU Distinguished Service Awards will be presented to members of the University community by Dr. Elise B. Jorgens, interim provost and vice president for academic affairs.

Following the awards ceremony, Litynski will give the address. The convocation will end with a reception in the lobby of the Fetzer Center.

State of the University on WMUK

A recording of Interim President Litynski's "State of the University" address will be broadcast on public radio station WMUK 102.1 FM beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7.
