Students for a Sustainable Earth offer Earth Week programMarch 6, 2003 KALAMAZOO -- As part it annual Earth Week program at Western Michigan University, Students for a Sustainable Earth presents "Hemp and the Environment" beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, in Room 105 of the Bernhard Center. The presentation will provide a brief history of the non-psychoactive industrial crop, highlighting the environmental benefits of hemp. The presentation will also attempt to dispel myths associated with the controversial cousin of an illegal drug. After the presentation, an informative video will be shown followed by an informal reception where hemp food, clothing, and other products will be available.
