Hong Kong Night features Chinese food and entertainment
March 20, 2003
KALAMAZOO -- Western Michigan University's Hong Kong Student
Association is sponsoring Hong Kong Night 2003, an annual intercultural
banquet, in the East Ballroom of the Bernhard Center April 4
from 6 to 11 p.m.
Hong Kong Night is an evening of homemade Chinese gourmet
food and entertainment, including game booths, drama, talent
shows and lucky draw. Although the purpose of Hong Kong Night
is to focus on Chinese culture, students from a variety of countries
are involved, resulting in an international effort that reflects
the international life of Hong Kong, according to Burgitta Ho,
president of the Hong Kong Student Association.
The authentic Chinese buffet includes fried Chinese bun, spareribs
in brown vinegar, beef in oyster sauce, spicy eggplant and lemon
honey chicken wings.
Tickets are available in the Bernhard Center Bronco Mall March
24 and 26 and April 1 and 3 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are
