Music students invited to present at national conference
April 8, 2003
KALAMAZOO -- Members of the student chapter of the Music Teachers
National Association at Western Michigan University were invited
to present a session at the association's recent national conference
in Salt Lake City.
Invitations to present at the national level are extremely
competitive, even for established professionals. WMU's student
chapter was one of just two collegiate chapters awarded the opportunity
to present a session.
Students who participated in the March 16 presentation were:
David Bassin of Waterford, Mich.; Christopher J. Brooks of Emmett,
Mich.; Kelly Nuechterlein of Frankenmuth, Mich.; Georgia Papamichael
of Nicosia, Cyprus; Matt Russell of Keeseville, N.Y.; Vera Schwankl
of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and Kelly Whelan, of Kalamazoo.
