Paula Haughn joins sports information staff

KALAMAZOO Paula Haughn has been named an assistant media relations director in the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics at Western Michigan University.
Haughn replaces Geoffrey Brown, who resigned in January to accepted a position with Pharmacia. She will serve as the media contact for Bronco baseball, women's basketball, gymnastics and volleyball. Her duties at WMU begin immediately.
Haughn spent the past year as a sports information intern at New Mexico State University, where she served as the media contact for women's basketball, softball and women's volleyball. She also interned in the Athletic Communications Office at Ball State University in 2000-01, assisting in publicity efforts for the football and men's basketball teams.
A native of Muncie, Ind., Haughn received a bachelor's degree in public relations from Ball State in 2001.
