Fair presents students with leadership opportunities
Jan. 14, 2004
KALAMAZOO--Students looking to get involved with the University
as campus leaders will have a chance to do some one-stop shopping
by attending Western Michigan University's third annual Leadership
Fair from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, in Rooms 208 and 209
of the Bernhard Center.
The fair allows students to connect with several campus organizations
as well as with University departments and offices. Those who
attend are able to use these connections to learn about the wide
variety of leadership positions available across campus. About
150 students turned out for last year's event.
The 2004 Leadership Fair, which is free and open to all WMU
students, carries the theme "Become an Involved Leader."
It is being sponsored by the Programming and Activities Consortium
in conjunction with Student Activities and Leadership Programs.
The event will feature recruiters for a wide variety of leader-oriented
campus positions, including Bronco Days ambassadors, Sexual Health
Peer educators and Campus Activities Board members.
For more information or to obtain a complete list of Leadership
Fair participants, call Rebecca Gadson at 387-2115 or visit the
