Broncos host College of Charleston in Bracket Buster

Feb. 3, 2004

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University's men's basketball team hosts the College of Charleston Saturday, Feb. 21, as part of the ESPN Bracket Buster.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 at 4 p.m., the first-ever nationally televised game from University Arena. Only 10 of the 46 teams participating earned spots in the five national broadcasts.

The College of Charleston is a member of the Southern Conference and owns an overall record of 15-3, 7-1 in the league, and has a Rating Percentage Index of 75. The game will mark the first-ever meeting between the two schools in men's basketball. The two squads do not have any common opponents in 2003-04, but both advanced to the first round of the National Invitation Tournament in 2002-03, with the Broncos defeating Illinois-Chicago and the Charleston Cougars downing Kent State.

Also on Feb. 21, the WMU women's basketball team hosts Ohio and the hockey team entertains Ohio State. Scheduled starting times for both of those games are expected to be adjusted
