
Workshop is for people taking 'the next step' in a relationship

KALAMAZOO--"Something to Talk About: Committing to Your
Partner" is a new workshop offered by the Office of Health
Promotion and Education at Sindecuse Health Center. Separate
sessions will be offered for employees and students at Western
Michigan University.
"Something to Talk About" explores important issues
people should consider and discuss before taking the next step
to moving in together, making a long-term commitment, or getting
married. The workshop is not a "couples only" program,
according to Linda Lumley, Sindecuse coordinator of gender education.
People in relationships are welcome to attend with or without
their partners.
Sessions for employees are free and will be offered
in two parts, both from noon to 1 p.m., Feb. 16 in the Faculty
Dining Room of the Bernhard Center and Feb. 18 in 157 Bernhard
Center. It will be offered again in one session from 5:30 to
7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, in the KIVA Room of Faunce Student
Services Building.
A student session will be held Tuesday, Feb. 24, from
3:30 to 5 p.m. in 3311 Sangren Hall. There is a $5 fee for the
student session.
