
Susan H. Mundo

Susan H. Mundo, a former Dining Service employee at Western
Michigan University, died March 23 in Detroit. She was 59.
Mundo came to WMU in 1986. For more than 12 years, she worked
as a cook in the Bernhard Center. She resigned in 1998 because
of deteriorating health.
She was a very good employee and will be remembered most for
her outgoing and friendly manner, says Kenneth Bartholomew, director
of WMU Dining Service.
Born Sept. 21, 1944, in Chicago, Mundo is survived by her
mother, Josephine Mundo of Mattawan, Mich., two brothers, two
sisters and several other relatives, including a nephew, Mark
A. Mundo, a WMU Dining Service employee.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, April
1, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Mattawan. Private internment
will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Paw Paw. In lieu of flowers
memorial donations may be made to St. John Bosco Church, 23830
