Grand Rapids football club begins fifth season

Aug. 6, 2004

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--The Grand Rapids Bronco Football Breakfast Club, supporting the Western Michigan University football team, is accepting members for its fifth season of breakfast programs, which begin in September.

Each club meeting features a presentation by Gary Darnell, now entering his eighth season as head coach of the Bronco football team, and a full buffet breakfast. Meetings are held at WMU's Graduate Center in downtown Grand Rapids, 200 Ionia Ave. S.W., and begin at 7:30 a.m. on Thursdays, Sept. 16, Oct. 7, Oct. 21 and Nov. 11.

"We've enjoyed solid support from alumni and other Bronco fans in the Grand Rapids area," says Jim Koessel, a WMU graduate and club treasurer. "Last year, we had 51 members. We want to build on that this year and increase our membership to 75 or more."

Membership for the 2004 season is $125 per person. Corporate memberships are available at $100 per person with five or more members joining as a group.
