WMU HOME > ABOUT WMU > WMU NEWS Advisory committee named in search for football coachDec. 1, 2004 KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University's Kathy Beauregard, director of athletics, announced today that she has appointed a seven-member advisory committee to assist in the selection of a new head football coach. Committee members are Dr. Gary Mathews, WMU professor of social work and chair of the athletic board; Dr. Diane K. Anderson, WMU vice president of student affairs; George Franklin, WMU trustee emeritus and vice president of external relations for the Kellogg Company; Dr. Lewis Walker, WMU professor emeritus of sociology and Gary Athletic Fund campaign chair; Charles D. Comer, WMU assistant professor emeritus of health, physical education and recreation and a former Bronco assistant football coach; and student representatives Mark Hardy and Jack Gitler, both departing seniors on the football team.
