WMU HOME > ABOUT WMU > WMU NEWS Dean Thomas Kent is next in ethics lecture seriesJan. 27, 2005 KALAMAZOO--Dr. Thomas Kent, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Western Michigan University, tackles ethical issues involving both the nature and uses of writing during a lecture set for 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, in Room 105 of the Bernhard Center. The speech, "Ethics and Writing: The Public Private Dichotomy," is part of the Center for the Study of Ethics in Society's spring series of discussions. Kent, who came to WMU last summer from Utah State University, is a tenured professor of English. His primary research interests are in the areas of rhetoric and philosophy.
