WMU HOME > ABOUT WMU > WMU NEWS Marcy Ohs honored at Oaklands retirement receptionMay 23, 2005 KALAMAZOO--Marcella "Marcy" Ohs, functional manager of the new student information system at Western Michigan University, will be recognized for her service to WMU at a retirement reception from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at the Oaklands. Friends and colleagues from the university and local communities are invited to attend. A WMU staff member since 1994, Ohs was assistant director of student life before moving to the Office of Financial Aid in 1995. Prior to accepting her present post with the SIS Project, about one year ago, she was associate director of client services in financial aid. Ohs was a graduate assistant in the Lee Honors College from 1991 to 1994. She was previously employed in management positions with First United Methodist Church and with Community Hospital, both in Battle Creek, Mich. Ohs received a bachelor's degree in education with a major in English from Michigan State University and a master's degree in counselor education and counseling psychology from WMU.
